Many studies and researches have been carried out in order to find out new pharmaceutical, dietetic and beauty compounds. Renewable and eco-compatible sources, like spontaneous local plants and by-products of the agro-industrial production, are the basis for our research work as well.

Natural products
Our Research and Development Department’s activities are concentrated on the natural products field and on the identification of natural origin molecules which have pharmacological effect, dietetic and beauty functionalities.
We are interested in molecules with anti-malaria activity, anticancer, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents.
